Mode Of Action:

Naivex (Dolutegravir) acts by impairing the function of the HIV integrase-DNA complex to which it was chemically synthesized to bind. It is rapidly absorbed, achieving maximal blood concentration hours after ingestion and, with a terminal half-life of 12 hours, requires once-daily administration without pharmacological enhancement. There is minimal urinary excretion as it is metabolized predominantly through hepatic glucuronidation by UDP-glucuronosyltransferase.
